Mt. Zion was established as early as 1872 to serve as the Free Will Baptist Church of the local community. For over a century and a half, Mt. Zion has witnessed God’s faithfulness in times of peace and prosperity as well as in trials and tribulations. Today, the church is continuing to build on the legacy God has graciously given Mt. Zion by remaining committed to the Word of God as our only rule for our faith and practice. We believe that Scripture is sufficient for “all things that pertain to life and godliness” and believe the priority of the local church is to “continue steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers” (2 Peter 1:3, Acts 2:42).
